In 2008 the Nortern Islands Tourism Centre began organizing hiking tours to the members of their own hiking association "Norðoya Gongufelag". The hiking tours are an offer to the members of the association. The interset for these tours has been increasing rapidly

Today the association has app. 70 members, and most of the hiking tours are on the Northern Isles and nearby surroundings.

It is also possible for non-members to join a hiking tour, but a hiking fee has then to be paid

Booking is necessary and can only be done at the Tourism Information Centre here in Klaksvík
